Custom Menu Development for Memorable Events

Build Your Career in Event Culinary Design

We're looking for people who get excited about creating memorable food experiences

Most event companies treat menus like an afterthought. We don't. Every dish, every presentation, every dietary accommodation matters to us. And if that sounds like your kind of work environment, you might fit right in.

Our team handles everything from intimate dinner parties to corporate conferences with hundreds of attendees. The variety keeps things interesting, but what really makes the job rewarding is watching guests engage with food in ways they didn't expect.

Team collaborating on event menu design

What Working Here Actually Looks Like

You won't spend your days in a sterile office. Some weeks you're meeting clients at venue sites, other weeks you're testing new menu concepts with catering partners. The schedule shifts based on event calendars, which means flexibility matters more than rigid routines.

We handle clients who know exactly what they want and clients who need help figuring that out. The job requires equal parts creative thinking and practical problem-solving. Budget constraints are real, dietary restrictions are non-negotiable, and unexpected venue limitations happen more often than you'd think.

But when everything comes together at an event, when you see guests genuinely enjoying the food experience you designed, that makes the challenging parts worthwhile.

Event Menu Designer

Full-Time

Design comprehensive menu experiences for corporate events, weddings, and specialty occasions. You'll work directly with clients to understand their vision, then translate that into practical menu designs that catering teams can actually execute.

Most projects involve 3-5 revision rounds as clients refine their preferences. You need patience for that process and the design skills to present concepts visually before final approval.

What You'll Need:
  • Experience designing menus for events with 50+ attendees
  • Understanding of dietary restrictions and food allergies
  • Ability to work within budget constraints without sacrificing quality
  • Strong communication skills for client presentations
  • Knowledge of seasonal ingredient availability

Event Coordination Specialist

Full-Time

Coordinate menu logistics for multiple events simultaneously. You'll interface with venues, clients, and catering teams to make sure everything runs smoothly from initial planning through event execution.

This role involves a lot of communication and timeline management. Events don't always go as planned, so you need to stay calm when last-minute changes happen.

What You'll Need:
  • Experience coordinating events or catering operations
  • Excellent organizational and timeline management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills for unexpected venue challenges
  • Comfortable working some evenings and weekends during events

Culinary Content Specialist

Part-Time

Create written and visual content showcasing our menu designs and event work. This includes writing menu descriptions, photographing food presentations, and developing marketing materials that accurately represent our services.

You'll attend select events to capture authentic moments and gather client testimonials. The role requires both creative writing ability and basic photography skills.

What You'll Need:
  • Portfolio showing food writing or culinary content creation
  • Photography skills for capturing food presentations
  • Understanding of social media content strategies
  • Ability to translate technical culinary concepts for general audiences
  • Flexible schedule for attending events as needed

Client Relations Manager

Full-Time

Manage ongoing relationships with repeat clients and venue partners. You'll handle contract negotiations, maintain communication throughout project timelines, and address concerns when they arise.

This role involves a mix of sales conversations with new prospects and relationship maintenance with existing clients. You need to be equally comfortable in both contexts.

What You'll Need:
  • Previous client-facing experience in events or hospitality
  • Negotiation skills for contract discussions
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
  • CRM system experience for tracking client interactions
  • Strong written communication for proposal development

Aldric Finlayson
Event Menu Designer

I came from restaurant management where creativity was limited by fixed menu formats. Here, every event is different. Last month I designed menus for a tech conference, a wedding, and a nonprofit fundraiser.

The variety keeps the work interesting, but what I appreciate most is having input on the full experience rather than just executing someone else's vision. When clients come back for their next event, that validation means something.
